Fairmount Hall is dedicated.

Designed in the Italianate style, it is located at 199 – 201 Fairmount Avenue. The last public building built in the Fairmount area, its first floor is home to the Hyde Park Baptist Society and the Fairmount School. The upper floor is used as a public hall. The building is moved to the rear of the lot sometime around 1890.
